So that's what it takes...huh...

So we all have deal breakers in various situations, relationships. I found out this weekend that a serious deal breaker for me is my family. You do not talk about my family. I may complain about them and they may drive me crazy and they may make insensitive comments more often than not but they are my family. I'm actually surprised with how much I've actually put up with quite a bit but he crossed that line when he talked about my family. HAH! Like he knew! He doesn't know my family...how could he?! He's never taken the time to get to know them. It doesn't matter what was said but that line has been crossed and he knows that he crossed that line. In no uncertain terms, I told him exactly what line was crossed. It's liberating, actually. Should have taken care of this a lot sooner.

One day you will get married and that conversation will be even more interesting! I'd give him a break though... if you complained about your fam enough he probably figured he was supporting you... I used to complain about my family like crazy... then Wendy made a few comments and I realized that I felt attacked myself... why?

Because ultimately we are our parents in many ways... and usually we end up being most like the parent we don't want to be like... this causes issues for us so we complain about them and project our own dissatisfaction with ourselves on to others.

You may want to review what happened and even take a long hard look in the mirror to see why you complain as much as you do... you might be surprised with what you find;)

Good luck!

Sorry, Sports Jedi - we are with Kelly on this one. If she ever even considers marrying this guy (and it's definitely not in the cards), I would have to kidnap her (i.e. the Redd family style) and risk getting thrown in jail to prevent it.

People in our family are not that much different than any other families out there. Yea, we complain about things they say, do and don't do. But family is family. Blood is thicker than water. Kelly just happen to discover that for herself.

P.S. Even though, we are not blood related to you, we still love you because your dear wife is family. :)
